Did you know that the Corps of Engineers is 'onboard with and ready to fund' a project that would open back up a chute of the Missouri River, following the same path that the river flowed back in Weston's river port days?
It's true!!! And if the 'Return of the River' project happened, a park like this could be the next project for the Weston Park Board! What a great amenity for the town. Riverside trails, picnics, biking, canoe launching, etc.!!! wow!

I think the ideas you have presented are great. There is so much unusual history in Weston that it would be a shame not to share it with the world.
